Korean Beef – Easy Korean Ground Beef Recipe

A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired ground beef dish that pairs perfectly with rice and vegetables.

For the Crust:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. While the beef cooks, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and stir to combine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice.
