Honey Garlic Steak Bites

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using) to make the marinade.
  2. Add the steak bites to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites, reserving the marinade. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add the reserved marinade to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
