For the Crust:
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using) to make the marinade.
- Add the steak bites to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites, reserving the marinade. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add the reserved marinade to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
