Homemade Hamburger Helper

A quick and easy homemade version of the classic Hamburger Helper, ready in just 30 minutes!

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, milk, elbow macaroni, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
