Ground Beef Teriyaki Rice Bowls

A quick and flavorful meal featuring ground beef cooked in a homemade teriyaki sauce, served over rice with your favorite toppings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked beef and stir well. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Divide the cooked rice into bowls and top with the teriyaki beef.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes
