For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the teriyaki sauce.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked beef and stir well. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Divide the cooked rice into bowls and top with the teriyaki beef.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
