Ground Beef and Broccoli

A quick and easy stir-fry dish featuring ground beef and fresh broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir to combine. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. If using, sprinkle red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Stir well and serve hot over rice or noodles.
