For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, red onion, garlic, oregano, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs bake, prepare the tzatziki by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, fresh dill, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve the meatballs warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
