For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Serve warm with tzatziki sauce for dipping.
