Berry Croissant Bake

A delicious and easy breakfast bake made with flaky croissants, mixed berries, and a creamy custard.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Arrange torn croissant pieces in the baking dish and scatter mixed berries evenly over the top.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, pressing down lightly to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  6. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
