For the Crust:
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until onions are translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef and onions, stirring to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add egg noodles to the pot and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until tender.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
