Classic Italian Meatballs

Juicy and flavorful Italian meatballs made with a blend of ground meats, herbs, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for pairing with pasta or serving as an appetizer.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, oregano, and milk. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs (about 20-24 meatballs).
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, cooking until browned on all sides and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes per batch).
  4. Transfer cooked meatballs to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve hot with marinara sauce and pasta or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
