For the Crust:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and red pepper flakes. Pour over chicken.
- Bring to a simmer, then stir in cornstarch slurry. Cook until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice.
