Asian-Style Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha (if using). Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with chopped peanuts before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
